Chennai snake park is located in Adyar which is known as urban centers of Chennai.this famous park is lies in the Guindy area of the city suburb, Adyar.and provided by small road, known as Sardar Vallabhai Patel Road.
This park is founded by Romulus Whitaker, the prominent wildlife conservationist. The park was established in the year 1972 with the intention that is to preserve the endangered reptile species in the sub continent. Madras Snake Park Trust was established at the same time 1972 which maintains the snake park. The park secured the recognition as Medium Zoo from the Central Zoo Authority in the year 1995.This park contains the number of lizards, amazing crocodiles, turtles, snake species.
