Brookfield Zoo


Brookfield Zoo:

The Zoo is located on two sixteen(216) acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, featuring over 2,000 animals. The Brookfield Zoo first opened in 1934 and became world celebrated for its use of natural barriers, such as moats, rather than cages. Brookfield Zoo recommended the first Giant Panda exhibit in the United States ofg america .
The exhibits, such as the Australia House, Baboon Island, Wolf Woods, Reptile House, Pachyderm House and more, are sure to please. There is also the Play Zoo and a children's petting zoo. Sure to be a preference is the Tropic World exhibit, which simulates a tropical rain forest with birds , monkeys and more, even a simulated thunderstorm. Akshardham :

Akshardham is majestic, elaborately carved stone structure which stands amid sprawling gardens set in a 23-acre plot at Gandhinagar (Gandhinagar district).Akshardham is built in "six thousand" tonnes of pink sandstone and not a bit of steel has been used. The temple is 108 ft in height, 240 ft in length and 131 ft in width. A point deserving noting is that this modern monument to Hinduism was built as per the injunctions of Vastu Shastra.The monument enshrining the seven foot high, gold-leafed Murti of Lord Swaminarayan is the complex focal point.

The monument stands on 7 sculpted pillars, 210 single-piece stone beams, 57 window grills, M domes, eight ornate zarokhas, etc. The sanctum sanctorum contains the 1.2 tonne gold-plated idol of Lord Swaminarayan, the founder of the sect that bears his name, shown in a sitting pose with his right hand raised in abhay mudra.Swaminarayan's Akshardham is called by Swami Gunatitanand ,the eternal abode. According to the Swaminarayan philosophy whenever Lord Swaminarayan actualize on this planet he brings with him his Akshardham.

Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary is the most eminent sanctuaries in India! The sanctuary is globally considered for its enriched wildlife that includes a great range of flora and fauna species, especially birds! Here you can see more than two fifty different species of local and migratory birds! No wonder, the sanctuary hosts numerous ornithologists, bird lovers, tourists and so on all round the year.

More than two hundred types of birds land in this lake having make an equally long journey to escape the harsh winter of their nesting places. Here they find warmth and food. This migrant bird visits the Nalsarovar every year from November to February. Nalsarovar at this time is a birdwatcher's delight.

At the turn of the 20th century, a small group of Torontonians visualized a museum in the city of international stature. People of some position and influence, they championed the cause and persuaded both the Ontario Government and the Toronto University to fund the future museum.

The Royal Ontario Museum was created by the signing of the ROM Act in the Ontario Legislature on 1912. When the Duke of Connaught, then Governor-General of Canada,the new building was opened to the public at 3:00 pm on March 19, 1914, it instantly became an object of pride for Toronto.

Gateway of India

Gateway of India :

Gateway of India, which will never build again and that is Mumbai's most famous monument and the starting point for most tourists who want to explore the city.
It was built as a triumphal arch to memorialize the visit of king George V & Queen Mary.
