The Houston Museum of Natural Science

The Houston Museum of Natural Science :
The fundamental museum association was called the Houston Museum and Scientific Society, Inc., and was created in 1909. It was located in the City Auditorium building in downtown, the museum transfered to a building within Houston Zoo in 1929. The museum's primary collection was accomplished between  the years 1914 and 1930. The museum's now considerable education programs began back in 1947, and by its second year,it was already hosting 12,000 children a year.

Now the opportunity in Hermann Park was constructed in 1969. In 1988, the Challenger Center was first opened in memory of the space mission;and mainly simulator's aim is to teach visitors about space flight. The Wortham's I-MAX Theater and the George Observatory (offsite) were  first opened in 1989. The museum's high appearance levels have allowed the museum to begin plans to increase and more than double its floor space in the next few years. The new exhibits are most likely to focus on dinosaurs and astronomy.
